Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to oversee global data centers, networks, and servers.

You will collaborate with data center NOCs and manage hardware deployments, migrations, and upgrades to ensure high availability and reliability. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of relevant experience, hands-on hardware and networking knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills in large-scale environments.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in a NOC environment with hands-on hardware experience.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and networking equipment.
• Solid troubleshooting skills in a large-scale data center environment.
• Understanding of Linux system administration, server administration, and internals.
• Professional problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and repairing servers, storage systems, routers, switches, and other hardware.
• Installing hardware, cabling, firmware, and software on-site and remotely.
• Managing hardware decommission projects, including disposal and data destruction.
• Shipping and receiving networking equipment to maintain network availability and reliability.
• Performing data center migrations and hardware platform upgrades.
• Coordinating data center deployments from hardware requests to rack design.
