Job summary
Socket.dev is seeking a Sr. Warehouse Specialist to deepen expertise in domestic and international shipping, HTS classification, and import/export documentation.
The role emphasizes inventory control, special-account order coordination, and continuous process improvement within a warehouse environment. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of shipping/receiving experience, strong ERP knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and compliance with US export
Qualifications
- 10+ years shipping/receiving, inventory control experience.
- Experience with ERP/inventory control systems.
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving standards and documents (LTL, parcel shipments).
- Knowledge of international shipping processes, EEI, HTS, import/export documentation.
Responsibilities
- Import/Export documentation and data entry; provide Customs clearance information for inbound international shipments.
- Prepare internal documentation via ERP for incoming shipments.
- Prepare and process export documents: commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, export declarations.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export laws and HTS classifications.
- Organize and coordinate orders for accounts with special requirements.
- Inventory control; reconcile discrepancies and manage stock locations.
- Participate in cyclical inventory stock taking and rotation of aged inventory.
- Handle external customer goods and samples sent for testing.
- Learn and apply knowledge of LTL/truck freight shipments as needed.
