Job summary

Premia Group seeks a Senior Logistics Specialist to lead end-to-end movement of materials and finished goods both domestically and internationally.

You will manage transportation modes including LTL, FTL, LCL, and oversize shipments, optimizing routes and negotiating rates and SLAs while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive logistics/transportation experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience managing LTL, FTL, LCL, and oversized shipments.
• Strong background in carrier negotiation, contract management, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify, onboard carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers to support manufacturing demands.
• Establish and track carrier KPIs (on-time delivery, billing accuracy, damage rates).
• Negotiate freight rates, SLAs, and capacity commitments.
• Optimize shipments using LTL, FTL, LCL for international freight.
• Manage oversized/out-of-gauge shipments, permits, escorts, route surveys.
• Identify supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans.
• Serve as liaison between Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and Customer Service for updates.
• Translate logistics data into executive-level summaries and reports.
• Ensure DOT, FMCSA, customs, and trade law compliance.
