Job summary

MED-EL is seeking an experienced Events Specialist II to join our Marketing team to independently plan, coordinate, and execute conferences, conventions, tradeshows, workshops, training courses, customer events, and national and international meetings.

You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Research, Education, and Finance across internal teams and MED-EL Headquarters in Innsbruck, Austria, to manage budgets, logistics, vendors, travel, event technology, and regulatory requirements while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, business, communications, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in event management, corporate event planning, meeting planning, marketing, or related field.
• Experience planning and managing events within the healthcare industry or another regulated environment.
• Proficiency with CVENT or comparable event registration and management software.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and manage assigned conferences, conventions, tradeshows, meetings, workshops, training courses, and customer events from planning through execution, follow-up, and evaluation.
• Lead event logistics, including venue and meeting space, hotels, catering, audio-visual needs, travel, on-site setup, and breakdown.
• Partner with U.S. and international teams to plan and coordinate national and international meetings and events.
• Manage event budgets across departments and cost centers, monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities to improve spending efficiency.
• Track and report event-related spending for regulatory and financial reporting.
• Manage event registration, data, reporting, and workflows within CVENT or comparable platforms.
