Job summary

Corus International is seeking a Senior Program Manager to serve as a key resource for the MIHR project, improving MNCH and nutrition outcomes in fragile contexts. This hybrid role is based at our Washington, DC headquarters with in-office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The SPM provides programmatic guidance, manages complex country-level activities, and ensures donor compliance across involves multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with at least seven years' relevant experience managing and implementing international development programs.
• Experience working with colleagues in a multicultural, multi-linguistic environment.
• Experience working with US-based and international partners (NGO/FBO/CBOs, universities and other technical institutions).
• Experience successfully managing diverse groups of partners with varying capacities and experience.
• Experience managing large-scale, multi-country programs.
• Strong working knowledge of USG and other international donor funding mechanisms (including grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements).
• Strong knowledge of international development, including humanitarian standards and best practices in health.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage project cycle best practices, ensuring compliance with MIHR's Project Management Policies and Procedures and related subaward, procurement, and finance and administration requirements.
• Manage project startup processes by coordinating handover across Program Strategy, Business Development, and Grants and Contracts; convening key stakeholders; and supporting project staff recruitment, including job description development and interviews, as needed.
• Monitor implementation of the country-level programs by tracking progress against targets and deliverables, identifying and addressing risks and challenges, and ensuring that technical and financial reporting requirements are met.
• Apply expert knowledge of donor rules and regulations to ensure compliance throughout project start up, implementation, and close out activities, including procurement, budget modifications, and award amendments.
• Develop and manage new award/project development, approval, implementation, and close out deadlines and flow process in accordance with MIHR's Project Management Policies and Procedures and relevant donor requirements.
• Collaborate with country staff and MIHR's Headquarter Finance and Grants and Compliance teams to oversee grant funds and subawards, contract, and financial performance.
• Liaise with MIHR's Grants and Compliance team to provide information or carry out follow-up actions related to sub-recipient management (contracting, reporting, and monitoring).
• Maintain the Core Deliverable Dashboard and ensure timely integration of data from multiple sources.
