Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Global Finance Auditor to work independently, assess risk, and report audit results to senior management. The role spans planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up across domestic and international affiliates, with a rotation that develops cross‑functional expertise in Abbott Finance.

The position requires 3–6 years in public accounting or internal/external audit, CPA or equivalent, and a willingness to travel 40–60%.

Qualifications

• 3-6 busy seasons in internal/external audit practice, Big 4 highly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley; experience in financial statement audits for SEC clients and/or SOX controls
• Project management experience with ability to organize and complete assignments with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to advise on risk and controls
• Manufacturing and/or international business experience preferred
• CPA or certification (CFE, CIA, CMA) highly preferred
• Travel 40-60% to Abbott’s international and domestic locations

Responsibilities

• Perform financial audits of Abbott Laboratories’ domestic and international Affiliates.
• Assess accuracy of financial statements, adequacy of internal controls, and identify process improvements.
• Complete audits from planning through wrap-up.
• Document all audit work clearly and timely.
• Provide input on risks and controls while maintaining independence.
• Assist in onboarding and development of new auditors.
• Help achieve individual and department goals
