Job summary

Milken Institute in Santa Monica is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Global Event Operations to oversee planning and execution of high‑profile events worldwide. You will manage end-to-end logistics, vendor relationships, and budgets, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to deliver impactful programs.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, and a track record of large‑scale event success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 6–8 years of experience in event operations, production, or logistics management.
• Experience with large-scale conferences (1,000+ attendees) and VIP meetings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, contracts, rooming lists, catering, audiovisual needs, and event production.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and staffing plans to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Work closely with internal teams to align operational plans with strategic event objectives.
• Serve as main point of contact for vendors, suppliers, and venue partners, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Lead site selection and RFP processes, negotiating contracts to maximize cost efficiencies.
