Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, CA is seeking a Sr Global Service Center Equipment Engineer to support, maintain, and improve equipment across FormFactor's Global Service Centers.

This role ensures equipment reliability, provides troubleshooting, manages parts, and drives continuous improvements in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and equipment suppliers. You will troubleshoot equipment, coordinate repairs and upgrades, and develop training materials for Global Service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience
• Experience with service center equipment and capital equipment management
• Strong troubleshooting and process-improvement skills

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment utilized within Global Service Centers worldwide.
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Identify, source, and coordinate ordering and shipment of replacement parts to support ongoing equipment reliability.
• Partner with equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues and coordinate repairs, upgrades, and service activities.
• Support the installation, qualification, validation, and upgrade of supplier-provided equipment used in service center operations.
• Coordinate equipment modifications and enhancements to improve performance, productivity, and service quality.
• Develop and execute equipment acceptance and operational readiness plans.
• Provide technical ownership and support for custom FormFactor service and repair equipment, including PC URS, SAT, PAT, SDRT, new builds, deployments, qualification, upgrades, and documentation.
• Develop and deliver equipment operation, troubleshooting, safety, and preventative maintenance training programs.
• Train Global Service Center personnel on equipment best practices and SOPs.
• Facilitate training related to A&T process improvements and equipment enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical work instructions, training materials, and support documentation.
• Track and manage CAR activities, coordinate procurement, shipment, installation and deployment of approved capital equipment.
• Maintain equipment inventories and lifecycle records.
• Conduct Global Service Center equipment audits and identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions from audit findings.
• Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve service center efficiency, quality, and throughput.
