Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced electronics manufacturing Technical Specialist to support the Global Core Electrical STA team. You will develop and govern manufacturing standards, drive quality improvements with suppliers, and mentor the STA team across North America.

Our global STA group collaborates with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering and supplier partners to address complex issues, while travel up to 75% may be required to support programs and audits.

Qualifications

10 years minimum hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing.
Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent.
Fluent English communication.
Expert knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, specifically process controls.
Experience in project management and/or program launch.
Familiarity with AIAG special process and CQI manufacturing requirements.
Wide knowledge of IPC standards, primarily IPC A610.
Willingness to travel 25–75%.

Responsibilities

Maintain development, maintenance and governance of electronics manufacturing standards.
Drive quality and best-practices implementation in suppliers' processes.
Provide support to Site STA with global management to address systemic issues.
Provide training, mentoring and consulting to enhance the technical knowledge of the team.
Keep abreast of developments in electronic manufacturing methods.
Lead upfront process engineering efforts and provide analytical tools for STA.
Collaborate with Product Development, STA and other teams.
Review and approve manufacturing feasibility assessments.
