Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced electronics manufacturing Technical Specialist to support the Global Core Electrical STA team. The role involves leading process engineering, mentoring staff, and collaborating across Product Development and STA to resolve supplier issues.

Travel across North America 25–50% (up to 75%) is required; a BS/engineering degree and strong IPC process knowledge are essential for success in this leadership position.

Qualifications

• 10 years minimum firsthand experience in electronics manufacturing in a technical/engineering capacity; automotive electronics is a plus.
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent; relevant experience considered.
• Fluent English for global communication.
• Expert knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, especially process controls.
• Experience in project management or program launches; automotive experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with AIAG processes and CQI manufacturing requirements.
• Broad knowledge of IPC standards, especially IPC A610.
• Ability to travel across North America 25–50% (up to 75%).

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for development, maintenance and governance of electronics manufacturing standards.
• Drive quality and adoption of best practices in supplier processes.
• Support Site STA with supplier Global Management to address systemic quality and manufacturing issues.
• Provide training, mentoring and consulting to enhance team technical knowledge.
• Stay current with advancements in electronic manufacturing methods.
• Lead upfront process engineering efforts and provide analytical tools to the STA team.
• Collaborate with Product Development, STA and other teams.
• Review and approve manufacturing feasibility assessments.
