Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Electronics Manufacturing Technical Specialist to support our Global Core Electrical STA team. This role works with Technical Experts, Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers to help suppliers grow with Ford.

You will lead upfront process engineering, drive best practices, train and mentor team members, and collaborate with Product Development and STA to resolve quality and manufacturing challenges across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• 10 years minimum hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing in a technical/engineering capacity.
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent; experience considered.
• Fluent English communication with global teams.
• Expert knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, especially process controls.
• Experience in project management or program launch; automotive background a plus.
• Familiarity with AIAG special process and CQI manufacturing requirements.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, primarily IPC A610.
• Willingness to travel 25-50%, up to 75% occasionally across North America.

Responsibilities

• Maintain development, maintenance and governance of electronics manufacturing standards.
• Drive quality and implement best practices in supplier processes.
• Support Site STA with supplier Global Management teams to address systemic issues; prevent recurrence.
• Provide training, mentoring and consulting to enhance team technical knowledge.
• Keep current with advancements in electronic manufacturing methods.
• Lead upfront process engineering efforts and provide analytical tools to STA.
• Collaborate with Product Development, STA and other units.
• Review and approve manufacturing feasibility assessments.
