Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Senior Global Commodity Manager for Silicon to lead supplier relationships and strategic sourcing across CPU/GPU/FPGA components. You will drive cost reductions, manage risk, and align supplier strategies with Robotics objectives to scale hardware manufacturing.

Based in the greater Boston area with travel, you will partner with engineering and operations to support new product introductions and long-term commodity roadmaps, while delivering robust supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent.
• 5+ years in supply chain, commodity management and supplier management in a global setting.
• 5+ years with a global supplier base for relevant electronics commodities.
• Ability to read engineering requirements for mechanical/electro-mechanical parts.
• Experience leading RFQs, supplier selection, capacity planning, and risk mitigation in NPI.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships, performance, capacity planning, contracting and cost/quality improvements.
• Collaborate with tech ops, engineering and programs on new product introductions.
• Develop mechanisms for communicating forecasts and capacity for sustaining/new products.
• Support purchasing by monitoring supplier performance and addressing issues.
• Align supplier strategies with Robotics objectives for production and new releases.
• Develop a commodity and supplier tech roadmap aligned with business needs.
• Maintain monthly supplier scorecards and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Travel to supplier sites domestically and internationally ~25%.
