Job summary

Amazon Global Logistics is seeking a Sr. Compliance Specialist to manage daily customs clearance for cross-border shipments across ocean, air, rail and truck modes. This role focuses on regulatory compliance, data accuracy, and timely processing for customers.

Applicants should have trade compliance experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of 19 CFR guidelines. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to influence global logistics operations.

Qualifications

Experience in Trade Compliance or Supply Chain roles such as customs agent/officer or compliance specialist.
Excel skills: pivot tables, charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested IFs, data cleansing.

Responsibilities

Review and audit entry filings, PGA, HTS classification, AD/CV, and related documents.
Develop audit mechanisms to measure and resolve compliance risks.
Handle regulatory inquiries (CBP 28/29, liquidated damages) and respond to customers.
Draft petitions or protests for duty mitigation with stakeholders.
Analyze CBP penalties to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Interpret 19 CFR guidance for customers and implement it in operations.
Submit Duty Drawback entries and manage related processes.
Create and maintain SOPs for changes in regulatory requirements.
Educate clients on import restrictions, tariffs, and related matters.
