Amazon's Cross Border team provides international transportation services, offering end-to-end supply chain solutions. We seek a customer-centric individual to manage daily operational tasks and customer queries.

A Senior Compliance Specialist owns daily operations for customs clearance on ocean, air, rail, and truck cross-border shipments.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Review and audit entry filings, PGA, HTS classification, AD/CV, etc.
  2. Develop audit initiatives/mechanisms to measure and resolve compliance risks.
  3. Handle regulatory inquiries from CBP and customers (28/29, Liquidated Damages, etc.).
  4. Work with stakeholders to draft petitions/protests for duty mitigation.
  5. Analyze penalties from CBP, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  6. Interpret and implement guidance from 19 CFR and Informed Compliance Publications.
  7. Submit Duty Drawback entries.
  8. Create and maintain SOPs for regulatory requirements.
  9. Advise and educate clients on import restrictions, tariffs, and customs matters.
  10. Own expertise on regulatory changes and share with operations teams in multiple locations.
Measurement for Success
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time within KPIs.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience in International Logistics, Cross-Border Transportation, Supply Chain, or US Customs regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Customs-related certifications (CCS, LCB, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret regulatory language.
  • Specialization in Customs roles or capacities.
  • Basic understanding of CBP enforcement processes.
  • Familiarity with ACE portal.
