Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification required.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 5+ years leading accounting teams.
• US GAAP and IFRS reporting experience required.
• Multi-currency accounting experience.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience.
• Experience with process improvement and automation.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders.
• Hospitality/travel industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close, setting a disciplined close calendar and driving speed and accuracy.
• Lead consolidated financial reporting across entities and currencies under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Design, implement and maintain accounting policies and internal controls; ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead the transition to a controlled environment with risk-based control design and monitoring.
• Lead and develop the accounting organization incl. revenue, cost and capital accounting and offshore teams.
• Oversee accounting for guest deposits, cruise revenue, commissions, ship operations and related balance sheets.
• Direct review of complex or non-routine transactions such as leases and debt.
• Manage relationship with external auditors and coordinate audit preparation.
• Partner with Tax, Treasury and FP&A for alignment of planning, cash, tax and results.
• Identify and implement AI-enabled processes to reduce manual work.
