Job summary

Reworld Waste seeks a Senior Global Commodity Manager – Chemicals Reagents to lead enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for chemicals and reagents across waste-to-energy and industrial facilities.

You will manage supplier relationships, run complex sourcing events, and drive measurable cost improvements while partnering with operations, engineering, and finance teams. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or commercial management.
• Experience in chemical industry procurement or relevant technical background with sourcing experience.
• Experience developing and executing category or commodity strategies.
• Proven ability to manage strategic suppliers and negotiate complex supply agreements.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to travel to facilities and supplier locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide commodity strategies for chemicals and reagents.
• Lead the sourcing process: market analysis, RFIs/RFPs, supplier evaluation, contracts.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers.
• Lead supplier reviews, scorecards, escalations, and improvement plans.
• Ensure cost, safety, quality, service, and reliability targets.
• Coordinate with Operations and Logistics to optimize freight and inventory.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and total-cost improvements.
• Collaborate with Facility Leadership, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Logistics.
• Travel up to 30% or more as needed.
