Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment North America, LLC seeks a Senior Commodity Buyer, Global Sustainable Power to support purchasing activities within the Sustainable Power organization and coordinate supplier tasks across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics.

The role involves working with an international team, helping transition to new technologies while maintaining the existing supplier base, participating in supplier evaluations, and contributing to sub-commodity strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in buying major commodities in construction equipment.
• Experience with global supply and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate supplier related tasks within Sustainable Power organization.
• Interact with suppliers and Volvo business areas including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
• Support Global Commodity Manager in sourcing and negotiations.
• Contribute to sub commodity strategies and supplier evaluations.
• Register purchasing agreements and support OTD and PPD activities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field

5 years of experience in buying major commodities in construction equipment

Experience with global supply and root cause analysis
