Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) is seeking a Purchasing Development Leader for the SGC Purchasing Development team. You will lead strategic projects, align with global priorities, and strengthen how we work while building strong stakeholder networks across regions and commodities.

You will manage end-to-end initiatives, drive adoption of new tools and processes, and enable data-driven decisions, with occasional travel and a focus on delivering measurable value.

Qualifications

• MBA or similar post-degree preferred.
• 3 years of purchasing experience.
• Fluent in English; an additional language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute projects and assigned initiatives with full ownership for scope, plans, deliverables, risks, decisions and results.
• Coordinate, prioritize and execute assigned Purchasing Development key focus activities in alignment with SGC and global purchasing priorities.
• Support the development and deployment of sourcing strategies, including continuous improvement of the Sourcing Strategy process, toolbox, governance and adoption.
• Translate strategic ambitions into practical roadmaps, milestones, measures, communication and follow-up.
• Use data and business insights to improve transparency, support decisions, identify trends and measure progress.
• Explore and responsibly apply digital solutions, automation and AI where they can solve real business needs and improve the user experience.
