Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking an experienced operations planning leader to design and own the global capacity planning framework. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to deploy scalable models within centralized planning ecosystems and translate model insights into strategic narratives with clear financial implications.

The role emphasizes strong cross-functional collaboration, principled spending, and risk mitigation in a high-growth setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 5+ years driving capacity planning, commercial operations, S&OP, or strategic program management.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaborations and manage dependencies during high-growth phases.
• Excellent communication to establish clear sources of truth and influence senior decision-makers.
• Experience building and maintaining capacity models and roadmaps in scaled enterprise platforms like Anaplan.
• Proficiency with SQL and foundational quantitative modeling to guide technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable global capacity planning framework and serve as the primary program manager for resource scaling.
• Translate capacity models into executive narratives with P&L implications.
• Oversee vendor partnerships, ensuring efficiency and adherence to SLAs.
• Identify risks and advocate for structural fixes and principled spending.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to deploy models in centralized planning systems (e.g., Anaplan).
• Periodically review technical models to ensure transparency and avoid black-box assumptions.
