Job summary

Terumo Neuro in California seeks a Sr. Buyer/Planner (Temp) to manage global raw material procurement and align purchases with the master schedule. You will coordinate PO placement, supplier relations, and issue resolution to ensure on-time production.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in procurement, and experience with SAP/MRP systems. This temporary role offers exposure to a leading medical device company and opportunities to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
Minimum of five years of relevant procurement experience.
Experience using SAP or related MRP system.
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP, BOM and planning.
Lean principles and supply chain management experience.
Understanding of manufacturing, purchasing, scheduling, and planning processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to solve problems and work independently in a dynamic environment.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Access, Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Perform and coordinate global procurement of raw material to meet master schedule and customer orders.
Place POs and reschedule raw material with Supply Planning to meet production plan.
Establish and maintain supplier relations and partnerships.
Analyze manufacturing data to inform production decisions.
Identify and implement cost savings opportunities.
Review POs and requisitions; manage procurement policies and risks.
Serve as key contact for requesters, managers, and suppliers.
Prioritize tasks and progress critical projects despite limited time/resources.
Resolve supplier quality, pricing, and delivery issues.
Interface with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Lead process improvements and mentor peers.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
