Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. is seeking a driven Buyer to join our global supply chain team supporting drilling equipment manufacturing.

You will procure direct and indirect materials, manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory, and coordinate logistics to keep production uninterrupted. The role requires strong analytical, operational, and communication skills, with experience in ERP systems and cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory or Logistics.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, JDE or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory control and material planning.
• Understanding of domestic and international logistics.

Responsabilités

• Execute purchasing for raw materials, machined components, castings, forgings, MRO and services.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring policy compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance: cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics.
• Analyze inventory levels and demand to optimize stock and reduce obsolescence.
• Expedite critical materials and resolve supply disruptions.
• Support supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, terms, service levels.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics with freight providers and suppliers.
• Identify continuous improvement to cut total supply chain costs.
• Maintain purchasing, inventory, and supplier data in ERP systems.
• Generate procurement and inventory reports with management recommendations.
