Job summary

Ascendo-Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong General Ledger, payroll accounting, intercompany, and reconciliation experience. The role supervises staff and partners with payroll, benefits, and compliance teams to ensure accurate month-end close.

The candidate should have 7+ years of accounting experience, international exposure preferred, and solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Workday Financials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years of accounting and supervisory experience, preferably with international exposure.
• Strong understanding of the full payroll cycle.
• Experience with multi-currency journal entries, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of management, staff, and field operators.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and post complex journal entries to the General Ledger.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, including international intercompany accounts and multi-currency transactions.
• Manage, mentor, motivate, and train accountants while promoting teamwork.
• Lead reconciliations of payroll tax, self-funded health plan, and other benefit liability accounts.
• Perform variance analysis and prepare adjusting journal entries.
• Resolve discrepancies involving garnishments, 401(k), SERP, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with payroll bank account variances and ensure accurate entries.
