Job summary

A leading software company in Lowell, MA is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and improve accounting operations. This role involves integrating FP&A processes, maintaining reconciliations, and enhancing internal controls. Candidates should have 5+ years in corporate accounting, a strong grasp of GAAP, and advanced Excel skills. CPA certification and experience with Microsoft Dynamics are a plus. The position is hybrid and contract-based for 6 months with an hourly rate of $55-$60.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of FP&A accrual processes into accounting.
• Prepare and maintain reconciliations between sub-ledger and general ledger.
• Prepare non-recurring and recurring journal entries monthly and quarterly.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts ensuring accuracy.
• Implement process improvements with the accounting team.
• Maintain and improve internal controls for compliance.
• Assist with month-end close and ad-hoc projects.
