Job summary

San Bernardino County is recruiting for a Supervising Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician to supervise a team of technicians using the Esri GIS platform to create and maintain maps, data, and geospatial products. The role prohibits visa sponsorship and requires background checks, a physical exam, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading GIS technicians and supervising staff.
• Two or more years using Esri's desktop GIS products (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro) and ArcGIS Online.
• Lead experience: 1 year supervising a team (concurrent allowed).
• Qualified degrees/work coursework must be from accredited institutions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct a team of GIS technicians.
• Direct project progress and enforce quality assurance.
• Provide managerial direction to the Lead GIS Technician as needed.
• Support GIS projects for public agencies and stakeholders.
