Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading GIS/IT teams and reviewing staff work.
• Experience editing GIS databases (ArcGIS, MapInfo) and SQL or Oracle scripting.
• Experience with GIS data extraction and spatial analysis.
• Experience with database reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintains department efficiency by attending meetings and producing reports.
• Enters/modifies GIS records in databases or maps with coordinate geometry and data entry.
• Edits complex records in GIS databases for rights-of-way, roads, and subdivisions.
• Verifies accuracy of GIS data and assigns records for entry.
• Collaborates on cross-department projects and communicates progress.
• Supervises staff, assigns work, and provides training.
• Participates in GIS vendor software/equipment selections.
• Provides service to internal and external customers.
