Job summary

Esri is seeking a GIS subject matter expert to identify the right analysis tools and demonstrate the value of GIS to customers. You’ll join an account team, advise on complex business challenges, and drive revenue through expert technical leadership and compelling presentations.

The role emphasizes building relationships with top customers, leading technical discussions, and delivering GIS-based solutions. Travel 25–50% is expected, with a focus on Esri technology and sales strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
• 3+ years of experience in electric, gas and/or telecommunications.
• Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing)
• Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
• Understanding of sales and business development processes

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting Esri software as part of the account team.
• Be an expert and technical leader of Esri technology and of electric, gas and/or telecommunications; lead technical meetings to drive revenue.
• Solve problems by crafting solutions that show GIS value and align Esri technology with customers’ business needs.
• Tell Esri’s story by designing presentations for technical and non-technical audiences and providing guidance.
