Zusammenfassung
Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks a Principal Technology Architect – GIS Platform in Oakland to lead architecture, design, and delivery of the Elevate GIS program. You will direct GIS platform strategy, guiding ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS, data strategies, security, and operability across onshore and offshore teams.
The role combines hands-on GIS expertise with enterprise architecture leadership, defining standards and roadmaps, while partnering with business units to translate requirements
Qualifikationen
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, GIS, or related field or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience architecting or maintaining enterprise GIS platforms
- Experience establishing architecture direction and roadmaps for GIS in large enterprises or utilities
- Extensive hands-on ArcGIS Enterprise in a large enterprise environment
- Proven skills in cloud-native GIS architectures (AWS) and DevSecOps practices
Aufgaben
- Lead architecture, design, and technical direction for GIS platforms across Elevate.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance to multidisciplinary teams including onshore/offshore resources.
- Define architecture patterns, engineering standards, and nonfunctional requirements (security, performance, scalability).
- Partner with PG&E functional areas to translate business requirements into modern GIS capabilities.
- Advance delivery of GIS capabilities (mobile, analytics, data pipelines, web mapping, integrations).
- Standardize GIS platforms, reduce technical debt, and modernize solutions.
- Collaborate with GIS leadership to ensure cohesive delivery across Delivery, Operations, Product, and Infrastructure.
