Job summary
Genesis10 is seeking a System Engineer for a 12+ month remote contract to lead GIS enterprise projects for utility clients. You will design, implement, and optimize on-premise and hybrid systems, focusing on GIS platforms, virtualization, security, and scalable deployments. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/SE or related field required.
- 8–11 years enterprise system consulting for large tech projects.
- 3–7 years GIS experience with ArcGIS products and administration.
- Strong virtualization, security, and private cloud know-how.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction for system design, implementation and hosting.
- Build enterprise solutions based on architecture designs.
- Automate deployments for repeatable processes.
- Create and manage enterprise geodatabases and GIS data.
- Ensure solutions are tested and meet customer expectations.
- Lead GIS Enterprise Architecture workshops for utility clients.
- Manage datacenter infrastructure and admin tasks.
- Support security considerations in datacenters and systems.
- Provide guidance on system tuning and licensing.
- Mentor others in enterprise system technologies.
