Job summary

Bow Wave LLC seeks a GIS Specialist (Senior Engineer) to perform systems analysis, design, development, and documentation in GIS data processing. You will prepare project setups, design databases, and automate processing workflows while maintaining GIS software and databases. Digitizing tasks may be required.

The role requires ESRI GIS production experience, Python/ArcGIS skills, and a BA/BS in a relevant field. On-site California opportunity with potential training perks.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Geography, Natural Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Sciences.
• 3–5 years of GIS production work using ESRI software.
• 3+ years of Python, Arcade, and/or ModelBuilder experience.
• Completion of ESRI training courses within the last two years may substitute for some experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs systems analysis, concept and design, and program development in GIS data processing.
• Prepares and implements user/project setup for GIS projects.
• Designs databases, automation macros, and related analytical procedures.
• Maintains GIS applications and databases; performs digitizing tasks as needed.
