Job summary

System One is seeking a Sr. GIS Programmer to support the GIS Program within the Office of Information Technology and the Office of Planning. The contract role combines onsite and remote work in Towson, MD, with 40 hours per week and a background check requirement.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of development in J2EE/.NET/JavaScript/HTML/C#/Python, strong ArcGIS experience, and SQL proficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing/modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python.
• 3+ years working with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDK’s, ArcSDE.
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including Triggers and Stored Procedures.
• Experience in developing reports using SSRS and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform application development and support activities for the GIS Program and Office of Planning.
• Upgrade and develop an Agricultural Preservation Model; migrate ArcMap AddIn to ArcGIS Pro AddIn.
• Develop GIS applications in an Enterprise GIS environment.
• Conduct code reviews, documentation, planning, and development.
• Support database development.
