Job summary

System One is seeking a Sr. GIS Programmer for a contract role in Towson, MD. The position blends onsite and remote work with 40 hours per week and a background check requirement.

You will develop and support GIS applications within the Office of Information Technology’s GIS Program and upgrade an ArcMap AddIn to an ArcGIS Pro AddIn using C#/Python. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of GIS application experience, strong ArcGIS tool knowledge, SQL, and Power BI/SSRS reporting experience, plus

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years developing and modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python.
• Minimum of three (3) years working with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDK’s, and ArcSDE.
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python.
• Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
• Experience in development of reports using SSRS, Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts (Oracle, SQL Server preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field and five years’ experience in systems analysis, change management analysis, project management, or related field
• Recent engagement with a government entity
