Job summary

SYSCOM, Inc. seeks a Senior GIS Programmer/Systems Analyst to support a GIS program in Towson, MD. The role includes upgrading an Agricultural Preservation Model and developing an ArcGIS Pro AddIn from an ArcMap AddIn (C#/Python).

The position follows a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days onsite per week in Towson, Maryland 21204, and up to 2 days remote. A 6-month contract with potential extension is offered.

Qualifications

• Five years developing/modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python.
• Three years working with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server and APIs.
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python.
• Strong SQL knowledge (Triggers, Stored Procedures) and relational DB concepts.
• Experience with SSRS/Power BI reporting and Oracle or SQL Server.

Sr. GIS Programmer/Systems Analyst (Hybrid)

• Towson, MD

SYSCOM is seeking a qualified Senior GIS Programmer/Systems Analyst to support our client’s GIS program. The programmer will assist in the upgrade and development of an Agricultural Preservation Model, upgrading the current custom ArcMap AddIn (C#/Python) to an ArcGIS Pro AddIn.

• Work Location: This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week in Towson, Maryland 21204, and up to 2 days remote.
• Duration: 6-month contract with the possibility of extension; however, an extension is not guaranteed.

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• GIS application development in an Enterprise GIS environment
• Code review, documentation, planning and development
• Database development

Minimum Qualifications (Must Meet ALL)

• Minimum of five (5) years developing and modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python.
• Minimum of three (3) years working with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDK’s, and ArcSDE
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python
• Strong Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
• Development of reports using SSRS, Power BI
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts (Oracle, SQL Server preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field and five years’ experience in systems analysis, change management analysis, project management, program analysis, or a closely related field.
