Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a GIS Software Analyst to support the County's GIS program through creation, maintenance, analysis, and presentation of spatial data. You will develop datasets, perform analysis, and deliver maps, dashboards, and GIS solutions to improve decision-making across departments.

The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, maintaining authoritative GIS data, and delivering accurate spatial products using Esri GIS technology and Microsoft tools.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
Five (5) years of GIS experience required.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, including clear explanations to non-technical users.
Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Create, edit, and validate GIS datasets following data standards and QA procedures.
Perform spatial analysis and data visualization to support planning and operations.
Develop maps, dashboards, and cartographic products for internal and public use.
Collaborate with County departments to identify GIS needs and propose solutions.
Provide technical assistance and basic GIS training to staff.
