Job summary

City and County of Denver, DOTI Utilities Billing team, seeks a Senior GIS Analyst to design and maintain enterprise GIS databases, perform advanced geographic analysis, and create interactive web maps and dashboards for internal and public use.

You will automate GIS tasks with Python and SQL, partner with IT for system integration, and support data quality and training across departments in a hybrid Denver-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Urban Planning, GIS, or related field.
• 3 years of professional GIS analyst experience required.
• Equivalent education/experience considered with substitutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise GIS databases and data infrastructure.
• Perform advanced spatial analyses, modeling, and predictive analytics.
• Build, configure, and maintain interactive web maps and dashboards (ArcGIS Online, Power BI).
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to deliver geospatial solutions and data reporting.
• Automate GIS tasks using Python/SQL/Arcade to improve efficiency.
• Assist in project management from scoping to delivery and ensure data quality.
