Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks a Senior GIS Analyst within the DOTI Utilities Billing team. You will design and maintain GIS databases, perform spatial analyses, and develop web maps and dashboards for internal and public use.

Ideal candidates bring three years of GIS hands-on experience, proficiency in Python and SQL, and strong collaboration skills to support citywide infrastructure data initiatives. Hybrid work with on-site days in Denver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a GIS/ geography-related field.
• Three (3) years of professional hands-on GIS analyst experience.
• Equivalency option: 1 year experience per year of education; GIS/Geography certs may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise GIS databases and geodatabases.
• Perform complex geographic data analysis and spatial modeling.
• Build and maintain interactive maps and dashboards (ArcGIS Online, Power BI).
• Collaborate with external customers to assess mapping needs and provide geospatial solutions.
• Develop scripts/models (Python/SQL/Arcade) to automate GIS tasks.
• Participate in projects from scoping to delivery.
• Ensure data standards, metadata, and quality control across spatial data.
• Provide technical support and training for GIS software and tools.
