Job summary

HDR is seeking a Trenchless Geotechnical Team Lead to oversee geotechnical initiatives for trenchless technologies across engineering, design, and construction. You will lead field investigations, generate reports, and coordinate with client teams in a fast-paced environment.

Primary responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing resources, and forecasting costs while advancing software capabilities with OpenGround, gINT, ArcGIS Pro, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Travel will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Professional registration, license, or certification may be required.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations for trenchless projects.
• Coordinate fieldwork, drilling crews, logs, and lab coordination.
• Generate geotechnical reports including boring logs and sections.
• Represent HDR at client meetings and integrate data into deliverables.
• Maintain data management using OpenGround and gINT.
• Assist in geotechnical analyses and design parameter calculations.
• Create cross-sections and support design teams.
• Advance trenchless deliverables using gINT, OpenGround, ArcGIS Pro.
• Travel for site reconnaissance and construction oversight.
• Lead and mentor geotechnical professionals, manage workload and risk.
