Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer in our North or South Carolina offices. The role requires 10+ years of geotechnical engineering and project management experience, with PE certification and strong leadership capabilities.

Travel to client meetings and project sites will be needed. You will work on proposals, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating project teams across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering preferred.
• 16+ years of diverse geotechnical experience.
• PE certification is required.
• Experience with dam safety engineering is a plus.
• Familiar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Must be motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
