Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer in any of our North or South Carolina offices with 10+ years of experience with comprehensive experience in geotechnical engineering and project management.

You’ll lead projects, prepare proposals, complex technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings, mentor junior staff, and travel to client meetings and project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering; Master’s degree preferred with geotechnical focus.
• 16+ years of diverse geotechnical experience and proven project leadership.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• Dam safety experience is a plus and familiarity with Building Codes and Design Manuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead and mentor.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Project management including proposals, technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Reviewing and mentoring junior staff; leading project teams.
