Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to join the Georgia Earth and Environment Team. The role emphasizes project management, technical leadership, and delivering complex geotechnical studies on time and within budget.

You will oversee proposals, field programs, lab testing, and reporting, coordinating with clients and internal teams. Located in Georgia with flexibility for remote work and travel to project sites, the ideal candidate has 7–10 years in geotechnical engineering,

Qualifications

7–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in project management.
Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, site characterization, and geotechnical lab testing.
Experience with infrastructure, transportation, or commercial development projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception to completion.
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
Prepare and review geotechnical investigation plans, laboratory testing programs, and engineering analyses.
Oversee field investigations, site assessments, and construction monitoring activities.
Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
