Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical & Construction Materials Project Manager to join the Augusta, GA Earth & Environment practice. You will lead geotechnical investigations, materials testing, special inspections, and QA projects from proposal through closeout while building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has a PE license and 7–10 years of geotechnical/ testing experience, with demonstrated project management skills and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7-10 years in geotechnical engineering or related testing.
• Proven project management including scope, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and site characterization.
• Experience with infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to safety and quality assurance/quality control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical, construction materials testing, special inspections, and QA projects from inception through completion.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource forecasts.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulators, consultants, and stakeholders to define requirements.
• Prepare and review geotechnical investigation plans, testing programs, and reports.
• Oversee field investigations, site assessments, and laboratory operations.
• Ensure technical quality and compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Prepare proposals, technical reports, and documentation for clients and agencies.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, risks, and profitability.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
• Travel to project sites and client locations as required.
