Job summary

ASR International Corporation is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to provide design technical support for NAVFAC Northwest in the Puget Sound area of WA. The role focuses on foundations, retaining structures, and waterfront facilities, with both office and field responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of six years' experience, a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree, and the ability to collaborate with structural and civil teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant design or design management experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required (Green Card holders are not eligible to apply).
• Must be able to pass a T1 security background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform office and field consultation/monitoring of design and construction projects involving building foundations, retaining structures, utility structures, and waterfront structures (piers, dry docks, wharves, etc.).
• Review geotechnical reports, designs, calculations, and construction submittals for DoD UFC, IBC, ASCE 7, and project requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations on foundation systems, soil conditions, and related issues.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, and other discipline engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, observations, and recommendations.
• Support project status reporting and documentation.
