Job summary

HBK Engineering is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support multidisciplinary projects in utility infrastructure across power, renewables, telecom, gas, and municipal sectors. You will contribute to client success through technical excellence and timely project delivery.

The role involves soil boring supervision, geotechnical report prep, and analyses. Collaboration with engineers and staff ensures accurate results and on-time delivery across diverse locations.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant geotechnical experience.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgement abilities.
• Working knowledge of Mathcad and design software (PYWall, LPILE, Slide).

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed earth retention design calculations and documentation.
• Review shallow/deep foundation, bearing capacity, and slope stability calculations.
• Perform dewatering design.
• Coordinate drilling and lab testing.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to solve design challenges.
• Maintain organized project electronic files and archives.
• Contribute to proposals and project development.
