Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead challenging geotechnical projects across California, applying expertise to investigations, analyses, and practical engineering solutions. You will own technical work, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to client relationships.

The role requires a California PE license (GE) and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, with substantive geotechnical field and design experience.

Qualifications

• PE license in California (GE CA licensure)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field
• Experience in geotechnical engineering with subsurface investigations
• Experience developing recommendations for foundations, earthwork, settlement, bearing capacity
• Ability to prepare and review geotechnical reports and technical calculations
• Experience coordinating geotechnical field investigations and lab testing
• Strong technical communication with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations and analyses across California.
• Develop engineering recommendations for foundations and earthwork; support design through construction.
• Prepare, review, and manage geotechnical reports and calculations.
• Coordinate field investigations, drilling, and lab testing.
• Manage deliverables and project activities; maintain client relationships.
