Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Transportation professional to join our Northern and Central California teams. You will lead field investigations, engineering analyses, and report development for transportation projects, with opportunities across East Bay, Lodi, or Sacramento locations.

The role involves supervising complex investigations and mentoring team members. Required are a Bachelor's in Engineering, 8–11 years of experience, PE licensure, and DOT project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 8–11 years of engineering experience is required.
• PE registration is required; master’s degree is preferred.
• DOT transportation project experience is required.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status is required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring on projects.
• Conceptualize the initial design/investigative approach for a major phase of a large project.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering work involving conventional and complex features.
• Provide technical review of reports and supervise investigations and recommendations.
• Lead technical training and make informed decisions based on state-of-the-art technology.
