Job summary

Kleinfelder in Exton, PA, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role is based in Exton and involves field exploration, analysis, reporting, and construction support for complex geotechnical engagements.

The position requires a civil/geotechnical degree and 10+ years of geotechnical experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering.
10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects.
Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation.
Complete engineering analysis including soil and rock classification; foundation capacity; settlement; slope stability; geohazard evaluation; ground improvement; and earth retention systems.
Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development.
Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports; prepare construction specifications and drawings.
Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects.
Interact with client representatives; develop scope of work, project budgets, WBS, and schedules.
