Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager for the Exton, PA area. The role offers opportunities to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with senior geotechnical engineers and clients on diverse projects from earth retention to geohazards.

Responsibilities include proposal development, field exploration oversight, complex analysis, report writing, and construction phase involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and FAD preferred.
• Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects
• Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation
• Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, geohazard evaluation, ground improvement, and earth retention systems
• Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development
• Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports
• Prepare construction specifications and drawings
• Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects
• Positively interact with client representatives
• Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

This position will be based in Exton, PA.
