Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region, based in Exton, PA. Lead complex geotechnical projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients.

Responsibilities include coordinating proposals, field exploration, analysis, reporting, and construction support while developing scope, budgets, and schedules. The role requires a civil/geotechnical degree and 10+ years of experience with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering required.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and FAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to prepare proposals and execute projects.
• Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and related documentation.
• Complete engineering analysis including soil/rock classification, foundation capacity, settlements, slope stability, geohazard evaluation, ground improvement, and earth retention systems.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams during project development.
• Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports and construction drawings/specifications.
• Involve in construction phase of projects and client interactions.
• Develop scope of work, budgets, WBS, and schedules.

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

This position will be based in Exton, PA.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can execute project work, partner with senior geotechnical engineers, provide mentorship to junior staff, and engage with clients. On the job you would be expected to:

• Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects;
• Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation;
• Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, geohazard evaluation, ground improvement, and earth retention systems;
• Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development;
• Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports;
• Prepare construction specifications and drawings;
• Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects;
• Positively interact with client representatives; and
• Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of: MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and FAD preferred.
• Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required.

• Master's degree
• PE
• Candidate within commuting distance of Exton, PA
