Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to lead and grow our Knoxville-area geotechnical team.

The role focuses on technical leadership, client relationships, and mentoring staff across geotechnical exploration, slope stability, and foundation design projects. Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering degree, Tennessee licensure, and proven leadership in geotechnical consulting, with a willingness to travel within the South Region and nationwide as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Professionally Licensed in Tennessee; surrounding states preferred.
• Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for geotechnical engineering and construction oversight projects.
• Mentor and train junior staff and support multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and pursue growth opportunities.
• Lead proposals, presentations, and client engagements; ensure project profitability and quality.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams and GEI offices nationwide.
