Job summary

GEI’s Knoxville office is seeking a Project Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This role supports senior project managers on diverse projects across natural and urban settings, with field investigations and QA/QC responsibilities.

You will help prepare design documents, reports, and calculations, travel to project sites, and work toward PE licensure within four years. The position offers a path to ownership and a collaborative culture within GEI’s national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required.
• PE licensure within four years is preferred.
• Experience coordinating projects and teams is desirable.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in planning and execution of civil/geotechnical projects.
• Prepare design documents, reports, and design calculations.
• Coordinate field investigations and QA/QC activities.
• Travel to sites and other offices as required.
