Job summary

GeoEngineers seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Baton Rouge, LA to lead technically challenging projects from planning to reporting. You will mentor staff, manage budgets and client communications, and oversee field explorations and construction observations.

Responsibilities include delivering robust analyses, coordinating field programs, and contributing to business development while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience; PM experience minimum 4 years.
• PE license required; ability to travel locally and long distances.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management tasks: budgets, scopes, billings, field report reviews and proposals.
• Serve as technical resource; provide guidance to solve complex challenges.
• Develop field reports, figures, and GIS-related deliverables with minimal edits.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate field exploration programs and construction observations.
• Support business development through client engagement and conferences.
